Build a custom Thanksgiving trivia pack in under a minute — swap in exactly the questions you want, then print it, download the PDF, or export slides for the TV. No signup.
This is the fastest way to run a Thanksgiving trivia night: a free printable pack drawn from our bank of 70 verified Thanksgiving questions — the first feast of 1621, the Macy’s parade, the football tradition, turkey science and Thanksgiving on screen — every one checked against reliable sources before publication. Open the pack builder with the Thanksgiving category preloaded, set your question count and rounds, swap out anything you don't like, and you're done. The finished pack prints cleanly, downloads as a single PDF (cover page, host guide, rounds, answer key, team answer sheet and score sheet), or exports as a PowerPoint deck with big-type question slides and answer reveals for running the night on a TV. Want to study the material first? The full Thanksgiving question bank lists every question and answer, and the interactive Thanksgiving quiz lets you play them yourself.
Everything a host needs, in one file. The PDF opens with a cover page and a short host guide (team sizes, timing, scoring tips), then lays out your questions round by round — each with four options, the correct answer marked, and a one-line fact to read aloud after the reveal. At the back: a compact answer key, a numbered team answer sheet ready to photocopy, and a score-sheet grid for up to eight teams.
Running it on a screen instead? The PowerPoint export builds a title slide, a divider for each round, a big-type slide per question, and answer-reveal slides that show the correct choice with its fact — open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote and plug into the TV. Both files are generated right in your browser; nothing is uploaded and nothing requires an account.
And it's genuinely custom. Choose 5–100 questions across 1–5 rounds, mix Thanksgiving with any of the 30+ categories in our bank (Christmas, Friends, the '80s, the '90s and more), swap any question for a fresh one, or hand-pick from the unused pool with a searchable list. 1621 — The Pilgrims landed in 1620 and, after a brutal first winter, celebrated their first successful harvest in autumn 1621 at Plymouth, in present-day Massachusetts.
The Wampanoag — About 90 Wampanoag men attended with their leader — nearly twice the number of surviving colonists. The Wampanoag had lived in the region for thousands of years and made the colony's survival possible.
Massasoit — Massasoit — a title meaning great sachem — negotiated the alliance with Plymouth that held for decades. Powhatan led a different confederacy in Virginia; Sitting Bull lived 250 years later.
Squanto — Tisquantum, called Squanto, had been kidnapped and taken to Europe years earlier, where he learned English. Returning home, he found his people wiped out by disease — and became Plymouth's essential interpreter and guide.
The Mayflower — The Mayflower carried 102 passengers for 66 days. Its companion ship, the leaky Speedwell, had to turn back — forcing everyone onto one crowded vessel.
Abraham Lincoln — Lincoln fixed a national Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of November in the middle of the Civil War, casting it as a day of national healing. Washington had proclaimed one-off days of thanksgiving, but no annual holiday.
Sarah Josepha Hale — Hale — who also wrote Mary Had a Little Lamb — lobbied five presidents over 17 years before Lincoln acted in 1863. She is remembered as the Godmother of Thanksgiving.
Franklin D. Roosevelt — FDR moved it up to stretch the Christmas shopping season during the Depression. Critics called it Franksgiving, half the states refused to switch, and Congress settled the matter in 1941: the fourth Thursday of November.
Three days — Colonist Edward Winslow's letter — one of only two firsthand accounts — describes three days of feasting, fowling, and games between the colonists and their Wampanoag guests.
Virginia — Settlers at Berkeley Hundred on the James River held a thanksgiving service in 1619 — two years before Plymouth. Texas and Florida press even earlier claims from Spanish expeditions. Massachusetts keeps the parade anyway.
